Visit and Get married in Chianti

If you are not sure about where say I DO, the Chianti valley can be the perfect area to have one of the best destination elopements. Chianti is the area between Siena and Florence. It’s the most characteristic countryside that we have in Tuscany. Vineyards will accompany you through your way down from Florence to Siena. And each spot is ideal to stop and enjoy it in full! Stop to visit the municipalities of Radda, Castellina and Gaiole, the oldest ones in Chianti. Other locations to visit are: Castelnuovo Berardenga, Barberino Val d’Elsa, Greve in Chianti, San Casciano in Val di Pesa, Poggibonsi and Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. And finally, comes Siena, the medieval town par excellence known in Italy for his famous Palio, a horse race that takes place twice a year. And people from Siena go literally crazy for it!!

Villages in Chianti can offer you amazing views of the gentle Tuscan hills often covered by vineyards and of course also let you taste the best wines.

If you choose an elopement in Chianti, there are many venues, of all types and tastes! For unforgettable memories, choosing the right wedding venue is fundamental so that all your family and friends will be able to enjoy a beautiful period all together.

What do you prefer? To celebrate your elopements in a medieval castle? Or in a Medici Renaissance villa? Or why not? They can be also wineries so to get the perfect mix!

Surrounded by olive groves and the vineyards of Chianti, Siena is one of the most beautiful towns in the heart of Tuscany. Certainly, it’s also one of Italy’s best preserved medieval towns. Set on three hills, the town is drawn together by winding alleyways and steep steps.

Siena is filled with fine examples of Gothic architecture and has one of the world’s most unique piazzas – il Campo – shaped like a shell with scalloped edges. You’ll find the Piazza del Campo right at the town heart. And the Duomo and Santa Maria della Scala serve as additional cultural landmarks.
