Spots for beautiful pics during your wedding in Val d’Orcia

In Pienza there are many picture-worth corners. The very best is Via dell’Amore (Love Road), a gorgeous alley overlooking the breathtaking panorama of the Val d’Orcia. And don’t forget “via del bacio” (the kiss way), you know what to do here to bring good luck to your relationship! 🙂 From Via del Casello you have the best perspective, the view rolling off over the hills on your left and  the cathedral in the background.

 

In the countryside, don’t forget to visit the Chapel of Madonna di Vitaleta. This is certainly the postcard par excellence of the Val d’Orcia! This is the most famous church of Tuscany. It’s located at the top of a hill with its characteristic cypress trees. You’ll find it between Pienza and San Quirico d’Orcia. Isn’t it wonderful? And familiar maybe? Some of the scenes from the Gladiator were shot here 🙂

 

Famous throughout the world, the zigzagging cypress lined roads are part of the Val d’Orcia too. The first is right outside the lovely tiny town of Monticchiello, the other is Cypress Lined Road visible from La Foce villa. This villa definitely worth a visit!!!
